Plants 

This unit teaches children how each part of a plant helps it to survive, from roots taking in water to flowers making seeds. They will explore how water travels through a plant and what plants need to stay healthy, linking this to real growing conditions. Children will investigate the inside of a flower and learn why flowers have different shapes and colours to attract different pollinators. Finally, they will discover how seeds are dispersed and how this helps plants spread and grow in new places.
