Welcome to Class 2!

Dear parents, carers and children,

Welcome to Class 2. You are now in Year 3 and 4. It is a very exciting year to be in and  I have a feeling we are going to have a great year. 

We are going to be learning a lot about numbers, measuring, shape and money in our Maths lessons. We will be doing a lot of writing this year, including writing setting descriptions, stories, biographies and reports. 

Throughout the year we are going to learn about: animals and their habitats, magnets and light. Alongside learning about where we live and Ancient Civilisations in our science and topic lessons. 

During computing lessons, the class will learn about keeping safe on the internet, stop-motion animation and varying data programmes. There will also be Art and DT lessons as well as French, P.E and Music. 

We have exciting news about music this year, we are going to be learning to play varying styles of drums, and we are very excited to be learning a new instrument at Youlgrave school. 

 

The Class 2 team are looking forward to a fantastic year, with lots of exciting activities and learning to look forward to.
