Collective worship is an important time for the children. It enables them to reflect on themselves and think about the teaching of God and Jesus.
Throughout the week the children take part in a number of different collective worship session.
On a Monday afternoon, we gather as a whole school, either in Church or in school and take part in Roots and Fruits- the children listen to a story, which links to the teachings in the Bible. There are opportunites for the children to disucss and understand the teachings in the story.
On Tuesday, the class look at our Picture News for the week. This is their opportunity to learn about something that is going on in the world around them, answering questions and finding out the thoughts and ideas of others. This is also linked to both British Values and Portected Characteristics.
On Wednesday, we gather again as a whole school, and the children are able to look at Picture News from a more relgious based idea.
And on Friday, we end the week as a whole school in Church and celebrate how successful our week has been. It is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to hear about what has been happening in school- And parents are welcome!
