This Term’s PSHE Theme: Being Healthy
As part of our PSHE Matters curriculum, our whole-school theme for this term is Being Healthy. Across all year groups, the children will explore what it means to look after their bodies and minds. This essential module helps pupils understand how the choices they make impact their daily wellbeing and long-term health.
During this module, our lessons will focus on:
- Healthy Habits: Understanding the importance of a balanced diet, regular exercise, and good dental care.
- The Power of Sleep: Learning why routines and restful sleep are vital for growing bodies and minds.
- Emotional Wellbeing: Exploring how physical health connects to our mental health and happiness.
- Staying Safe: Recognising how to make safe choices regarding substances and everyday medicines.
How to Support at Home
You can help reinforce this learning at home by starting simple conversations with your child. Try asking them:
- "What is one new healthy choice you tried to make today?"
- "Why do you think our bodies feel better when we drink plenty of water or get enough sleep?"
